Le Weekend
Alors, le weekend derniere etait tres bien! Il faisait beau a Avignon et a L'isle sur La Sorge. * Samedi 14 Juin I arrived at the metro 5 minutes past the pre-determined meeting time. Couldn't decide which tram station was the venue to meet. There were 2 Part-Dieu stations and they didnt specify. I suppose it was La Part Dieu but i stood by Gare Part Dieu - Vivermiere. Ben came to my rescue though Alison was still late in the end. Thank god we didn't miss our TGV train. =) Arrived at Avignon at 9.30am, we didn't head straight to check in. Wandered around with an aim to Les Halles market. It was the day of the melon festival =) In short, the day events consisted of a visit to Palais des Papes, Pont D'avignon and many of the small boutiques on the way. At around 5pm, we took a bus to Villeneuve to see the ruins. Supposedly was to visit the chateau but we got distracted taking too many pictures at L'exterier. In the end, we were a little too late to buy the tickets to enter. HAHA. It wasn't such a disappointment though because we manage to take a lot of other pictures and had almost succeeded sneaking up the castle's walls till the person-in-charge told us they were closing for the day. Darn! And we thought we could get up there to pose for more pictures in Gratuit fashion. heh. With nothing else on hand, we went back to Avignon for dinner. Kebab! Its one of the cheapest food to eat around in France. Roamed around at night. For once we got to see the sky darken, which only occurs after 10pm. Seriously, back in lyon, we're back home before it does. Headed back early (11 plus) to our hotel for games and wine. Yes, i succumbed to indulging in wine. It was just quite irresistable. Especially since i selected it. HAHA >_<> * I shall recount Dimanche, 15 Juin another day. My laptop batt is dying and i'm hiding out in Mac's. Rushing home for dinner. I heard its french again tonight!
