Pirates of the caribbean

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUD!!!
**
This weekend's been great.
It all started on friday.
After school, we made our way down to tampines mall to watch The Lake House.
It was part of an early celebration for aud's birthday..hehehe..
The show was not bad. I've to admit it was quite draggy at the start..
As all love stories end, there was a happy Happy ending.
It reminded me of the phrase: if loving you was wrong, i'd never want to be right.
Sweet huh?
But what are the chances that it would be said in the REAL world.
Slim quite slim...
Yep. I'm a skeptic. haha..
Its a "wrong until proven right" kind of thing

Earlier that day, during GP lesson with ms Y.
We discussed the appeal and value of fantasy stories and films.
How appropriate.
Seriously, there IS a rising trend in the emphasis placed on fantasies.
Wouldn't you agree with me?
What happened to literary works of art like Pride and prejudice?
It has been superceded by fiction books. Remember Harry Potter? How about star wars?
Of course, there is still an attraction for literature and it will never be completely erased from our lives.
Duh-uh...
Look what happened to shakespeare and olde english..

FANTASY...
I had had my fair share of it.
Large, well-served portions..haha..
It certainly does bring some amount of hope to our lives. As well as some measure of surcrease..
My generation, the millenials and the generation X-ers lead a fast-paced life, trying to meet up to the demands of our society.

The Standard bar which is set so High..
*JUmPs*
S club : Reach for the stars, Climb any mountain higher.
****** Reach for the stars, Follow your heart's desires.
I can't really or even hope to imagine the expectations the next generation would face. *shudders*
At least we know that the fantasy stories and movies would provide a well needed solace and escape from an increasingly harsh reality of life.
We'll be able to keep our sanity a little longer..
No wonder many of us are addicted to video games such as maplestory or Dota..
All based on the concept of alterate worlds.
Yes. We must have an outlet for pent-up stress and problems..
It lets us be what we want to be..
How wonderful is that?
However, placing too much weightage on fantasy in our lives is indeed not beneficial.
We'll just be like lost souls... ...
Nevertheless, its a different story altogether if our daily bread and better requires us to dream up fantasies.

So is fantasy really that impractical?
Since our society IS progressing towards an increasingly practical and empirical nature.
Our logical minds and nature of reason justifies that fantasies are a waste of precious time.
How so?
Isn't it true that even those who find it redundant, has felt the touch and influence of their actions in some unique ways which are certainly all linked back to a some kind of fantasy?

Back to The Lake House.

A point to note. While watching fantastical movies, never ever ponder how is it possible or how did it ever occurred.
You'll just end up making yourself more confused than ever.
If time is a continuum, then how is it possible that the girl saved the guy and had a happy ending with him? Isn't it true that if the guy didnt die, the girl couldnt have warned him and he would have died? Wouldn't that also mean that they'll never meet? hahaha
Boy, do i feel muddle-headed..*bleargh*
Morale of the story.
Just watch the movie and enjoy. Don't ever think about it.

Whoopee...

I finally FINALLY got to watch the Pirates of The Carribean.
Yay me!!!
I can't believe that i got so desperate, that i went to watch the movie at Jurong point. A 9.35pm movie.
hahaha..
Well...it was worthwhile.
Company and all.
The ending was a lil too disappointing though.
Another fantasy movie.

Bur how on earth did the guy who died in the earlier movie get revived?
I guess the directors were a little too obvious that they wanted to have a sequel to this movie.

So now its Sunday, and i just returned from a day at marine parade library.
2 more days and its going to be another 'long' break.
Oh joy!
**
Life never fails to surprise me. =)
Should i just be unafraid and recieve with wide open arms?
Take the chance and risk of being hurt?
*ponders*
Tell me what makes you different...
One thing's for sure, i'm think i am beginning to slowly move over to the proposition side. lol
Or maybe this is going to be like a tango dance.

One step forward, Two steps back. haha

The scariest thing in life, i believe is to..
To doubt yourself..
**
Enough said.
