18th birthday
I've walked the earth for 18 years... yep. Its been 10 days since i've aged. haha.. So this is the "long awaited" update. *** It was sunny skies all the way. I woke up early, tried to cram some studying time but as you know...it was ineffective. What to expect? it was my birthday afterall. haha. Finally 1pm came and i met aud, jon and xp at tanah merah station. Guess what? i was the early one.. haha.. So we decided to head down to cineleisure to catch the movie 'Just My luck'.. For those who take the MRT, you would know that to reach somerset, you'll have to change trains at City hall. uhuh... So we did.. But then, the funny thing was, instead of waiting for the next train, we accidentally walked out of the station. haha.. Like what aud said on her blog. Blooper no. 1 haha Once we exited the station, we immediately realised our mistake and pondered whether to head back in. Maybe it was fate. We decided not to go back in and headed to marina square through city link. First stop, the movie theatre..Urghhhhhh...No sneak previews! So how? Instead of immediately making our way to cineleisure, we decided to follow our tummies to billy bombers for lunch. Milkshake!!! Jonjon ordered a bowl of chilli. haha. It sure looked alot like dog food/sauce. Luckily aud and i ordered a plate of cheese fries. Once we've been satiated, high on energy, we began our journey to the mrt station. JOn was funny..he kept leading us to wrong directions (purposely) and we obliviously followed. Its hard to describe but the prankster had successfully pranked us. Upon reaching cineleisure, we realised there weren't any movie timeslots for "just my luck" Geezzzz... Why on earth did the newspaper print that there were going to be sneaks? hai. So it was just our luck that we had to head over to lido and try our luck again. *pun intended* Hmmm...At lido, yep. We ran out of luck. 'Just my luck' wasn't showing, and the other movie timeslots weren't attractive. Guess what? We decided to walk back to cine. haha..yes. It WAS tiring. At last, we sat in the movie theatre at cine and watched 'scary movie 4'. My feet! haha..the aircon felt good too. The show was quite hilarious. Especially the ju-on pun. The jap kid was talking wierd jap. Actually it was more of like naming the japanese brands..haha.."toyota, fujitsu..." As planned we decided on tea break at the esplanade. CHOCOLATE!!! here we come. Aud had the 'perfect' idea. aud: let's walk to the esplanade. it isnt that far. me: sure. okay. lets go. So from cineleisure (somerset) we made our way down back to cityhall (near marina square!!!) through citylink to the esplanade. Again! my feet..haha.. I said like a million, no. Gazillion "are we there yet"s. i bet i irritated them..haha.. oh we did have a detour. To 7-eleven. haha.. I had to buy a packet of plasters..haha...apparently i had walked till i removed a piece of my skin. Gross? It's a blister. haha. Ouch. Pasted. TaDAAA... I was healed. And we continued our marathon walk to the esplanade. Walk. Walk. Walk. Marcy jas, ben and ade were already there waiting for us. AT long last, we reached our pit-stop. Ahhhhhhhh!!! The air-con was heavenly! Slow down...my legs need a rest..i said. Jon and aud: haha...at a race, who ever slowed down towards the finishing line? maybe me? hehee.. YAy!!! we finally made it to McBrenner's chocolate bar alive. hehehe... And boy! was the chocolate suckao worthwhile.. We had fun drinking milk, jug after jug... i think they ran out of milk after us. hehee.. So fun! i surprised them with a gift from me to each of them.. i shant say what it is here. haha.. Secret... i just love surprises and love springing surprises too..hehee At 8pm, i had to rush off... i was late! yes. i had another celebration to attend to. So it was back to walking. Walk. Run. Walk. *ouch* walk. I think the guys & gals were so sweet to escort me back to raffles city when they were to go to marina square for dinner. And as you know, marina square is just right beside the esplanade. Omigawd. This entry is getting super long. hahaa...see my initial reluctance to update? I better wrap it up. My birthday cake was super yummilicious. delectable! Can't believe that it was baked by a bunch of lawyers. haha.. Chocolatey, banana yummy.. And it was at 11pm! haha.. Guiltifying!!! i really really hope my birthday wish comes true. Done! I'm finally officially18 years old. Driving licencse here i come!!! wheeeeee~
