Yours always
Its amazing how television drama serials have evolved over the years. No doubt some plots still remain the same. But changing times calls for changing needs. Presently, the studio has gladly added a new twist to the local drama serials. Apparently, viewers are able to vote via sms and decide the fate of the characters. Sighs...Here's another profiteering idea. What has the world come to??? ** In my years of experience with the colour box which all of us are reasonably attached to, chinese drama serials are great in their ability to twist and tug the heartstrings of viewers both old and young alike. Even though the storyline for most serials are quite similar, its quite mind boggling to find that viewers are rarely tired of the same stuff. At the moment, one drama serial truly has me flustered. hahaa.. Its none other than the channel 8 drama serial "yours always" that only screens on monday and tuesday nights at 8pm for a miserable time slot of 30 mins. Great huh. Its quite irritating. urm... The plot is the usual of course. Boy meets girl. Boy and girl falls in love. Another boy comes along. Likes girl too. But remains silent about his feelings. Girl is totally clueless. Guy and girl becomes best friends. Girl still remains completely ignorant. blah..blah..blah.. A point to add, the silent guy in the show is so much more worth the girl. oops. that's my view of course. hahaa.. but seriously.. That guy character is SO much more attentive to her feelings and is always there for her. yadayadayada..the normal gentleman, good character, makes everyone want to like type of guy. Obviously, they would end up together in the end. After a going through much round-a-bout- circles, beating round the bush which normally happens in drama serials. Unless, for some kind of unfathomable reason, the director decides to be sadistic and chooses the latter. In the meantime, we can only wonder the whys and hows that the girl can seem so blur and inevidently wait for the naive girl to open up 'her eyes' and realise what is plainly staring at her in the face. Hahaha... Thats television drama serials for you. Every action is so exaggerated and dragged just to increase viewer ratings. Oh wells. I guess at least it keeps us entertained. But please, More Eye Candies! hehee ^_^ p.s. i couldn't be bothered to correct any sentence and expression errors today. =p -Dreams, the dreamer and me-
