Chinese New Year
Chinese New Year has arrived yet again... And it never fails to bring such happiness & laughter to my life.. ** Isn't it crazy that i'm blogging at this time of the day now? I totally agree with you..hahaa.. But what could you expect after bingeing on an endless supply of chinese new year goodies? Plus, it happens to be my cousin, Clarissa's Birthday too! hahaa I ate a total of 3 Cakes..yes. 3 Cakes today!!! Omigawd.. *guilty looks* heehee Though i have to admit that the cakes were super duper yummilicious..*burp* I'm suffering from sugar rush now..hahaa... wheeee... *** Let's talk about Chinese New Year Celebrations shall we? Here goes: The first celebration begun in School, on friday.. haha.. The Chinese New Year concert was pretty good..The mc's were great! What could you expect with 2 of them being ex-temasekians... *beams* TMS rocks forever!!! Back to the story..hahaa Yep. There was a performance by the chinese orchestra, indian dance, malay dance, xiang shen, a solo performance by eternity lee, A duet by fabian and....(oops, i dunnoe her name) and the finale... In actual fact, the programme for the concert was a little wierd. This was due to the fact that it seemed more like a v-day celebration. haha Firstly, the xiang shen's topic was something on relationships and love. lolx Secondly, the duet sung the song "If i ain't got you"... Oh well..it was very enjoyable though.. Hmmm... The xiang shen was quite true. I meant what they talked about was interesting. They said, you could tell how close a person is or how they feel about the other just by the tone of their voice. Eg. they will lower their voices and such.. oops..i'm digressing..hehee Its cny and not St. Valentine's. ** Oh my class had Chinese New Year potluck before the concert. Afterwards, I went rollerblading!!! So fun. So fun. =p It was just Audrey, Jason, Jonathan and me! For once we bladed at Pasir Ris park. It was fantastic. Jonathan taught me some moves. Yippee.. The playground experience was unforgettable... =) I know, i know that i'm childish and all..haha..but who cares? The spiderweb, satellite dish, swings etc. were estatically great... goshness...we laughed like a bunch of crazy kids. Come to think of it, maybe we were.. I want to go back there again!!! hahaa..i can't wait. *** Saturday. The day where reunion dinners are held on. I went to two this year! Stellar... One after the other too.. hahaa... The food was scrumptous..taste buds tingling. ** Sunday. Chinese New Year!!! In the late morning, my family visited my Ah ma's place for breakfast and lunch.. There, i had my daily dose of hugs and kisses..haha.. Ate my share of mee sua and tasted my first cake of the day! hee* Next, we went to my granpa's place. I got to see my distant cousins..they changed so much in terms of looks...haahaa..for the better. In the evening, there was a barbeque dinner going on at my uncle's place.. The chicken tarayaki was finger-lickin good.. I had another fair share of hugs and smooches from my aunts again..haha.. I just love my family! You can just feel the love exuding out. At 11.30 pm, my brother's girlfriend, Clara came over... hahaa Ok. i won't tease. see the halo above my head? *innocent look* Anyways, we played all those Chinese New Year games...If you know what i mean.. The dragon team rocks!!! hahaa...my uncle and i make great partners. My relatives are so comical...All of us laughed so hard that my stomach muscles are still hurting..hahaa.. And Guess what? I learnt a little bit about playing a guitar.. Yay me!! Aaron and kevin taught me a thing or two... They serenade .. and I swooned. haha.. Guys who can play guitars will always have the upperhand..yes siree..thats what i believe anyways. Its just so cool. My guy cousins are too good looking for their own good. Sighs.. Too bad for incest. haha I'm so proud of them, they just know the right moves to charm their way into a girl's heart...hahaa.. Being romantic runs in the family, i guess.. ** The glucose is beginning to wear out i think.. *Yawns* Its been a great New Year!!! Welcome to the year of the dog... WOof woOf!!! =)
