National Library rocks my world
I just fell in lurve with the new glassy, classy National Library .... Omigawd!!! Its like super humongous <--is that spelt correctly? hahaa well...14 floors in total...i could just stay there the whole day...browsing its contents.. Oh yea..i had no idea where it was..so jelly and selly became my guides.. heh...dragged them along..they were great company. Hmm...as usual i was late again.. This time 1 hour plus late..sorrie guys..bleargh But they were sweet not to get mad and stuff..even came down and met me at the bugis mrt station.. Yar..so we proceeded to the library...decided to start from the top to bottom haha...rare materials section and a supposedly no entry level 14... Hahaa...we sneaked by..pretending to not notice the sign. Coincidentally, it appears that many Singaporeans are illiterate too... The view was great from up there! *giggles* Albeit one of the bad points of the library was that bags cant be brought in to the reference levels....the lockers cost 40 cents!! urmm...on one of the 12 level, there was this room where u could view old newspapers through view clips? i dunnoe wat its called...Boy! was it fun to press...call me kiddy if u want, but what i say is only the truth and nothing but the truth. Another cool thing about the library was that the escalators had motion sensors so that they only move when someone uses them. We even tested whether it was weight sensored or motion sensored..haha...jelly swung on the handle bars, landed on the escalator steps and proved that it was motion sensored..imagine that..hilarious The next addition is for the paranoid people...it has again been tested and proven that nlb elavators would not close on you... Can you imagine the scene in which selly stuck out his head..i repeat..his head!!! in between the elavator doors..MADNESS...whoever does that??!! lucky for him the doors didnt snap shut..i wouldnt want to imagine the gross aftereffects..bleh..selly even commented that the view was kind of terrifying from the hole between the lift and the level...get what i mean? urm..nvr mind..anyway, he asked me to check it out..that was it..he's crazy!!! hahaa...obviously, i said NO WaY...i'm not that stupid to say the least... After much persuasion? is that it? that the doors wouldnt crush my skull..i dumbly took a glance..but not without him standing between the doors first..hahaa..yea the view was quite breath-taking.. Throughout that time, jelly was laughing his butt off..to say the truth, the whole thing was comical.. With limited time, we only explored 4 out of the 14 floors...so sad...sobx.. (next time we go together again kay?) A lil unwillingly, we treaded our way down to marina square and then to suntec where we had our dinner...walked alot i must say...our feet (my feet) was burned out...well done. The revamp at marina square was great... Hmm...saw selly's friend at the WCG. Not bad looking...hahaa..i'm lame.. So thats what happened today...ended with pizza at pizzahut..the waiters there are just so SO blind...i waved at them for like 10mins and no response..*sighx* Blogging is minimal, summarised...hahaa.....tone is important to describe everything...so: end-- the littlelest actions u did kinda made my day... actions speak more than words..but then words still needs to espouse our deepest feelings..give it a thought..
